Parental Consent
Before collecting any personal information from a child under 13, we obtain verifiable parental consent through Epic Games Kids Web Services (KWS), a COPPA-compliant parental verification platform. A parent or legal guardian must complete the verification process before the child can access the platform.
What We Collect from Children Under 13
With parental consent, we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the educational service:
- A display name (which does not need to be the child's real name).
- Date of birth (to determine age-appropriate content).
- Parent/guardian email address (for consent and communication).
- Lesson progress and achievement data.
- Code written during lessons.
- AI tutor conversation history (used solely for educational continuity).
What We Do NOT Do with Children's Data
- We do not serve behavioral advertising to children under 13.
- We do not sell or rent children's personal information to third parties.
- We do not require children to provide more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the educational activities.
- We do not make children's personal information publicly available.
Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have the right to:
- Review the personal information we have collected from their child by contacting us at support@codewright.app.
- Request deletion of their child's personal information. Upon a verified request, we will delete the child's account and all associated data.
- Revoke consent at any time, which will result in the child's account being deactivated and their data being deleted.
- Refuse further collection of their child's data, while still having access to information previously collected.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@codewright.app. We will verify your identity as the parent or guardian before processing any request.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Codewright service. Specifically:
